Coilovers finally in. Wanted height adjustability and the stock M- sport shocks had seen better days. Very annoying process as I gave the job to a “bmw race car specialist” shop, who messed it up, charged me double the quoted amount and then I had to do it all again myself. Over the whole thing but the car feels amazing. Ride is a lot more comfortable and bumps are just eaten up. No body role what so ever. Quality product. ST - XTA (by KW).

Decent coilovers set to a not ridiculously low height are a great thing! Looks pretty sweet and I'm sure quite functional.

They really do change the entire feel of the car. bC coils are ok, but see if you can find a deal on KW v3 or these ST-XTA ones (demontweeks is what I use). It's much higher quality than bc racing.

I love the 1-Series so much, and yours on coilovers look so good. What tools did you actually need when you were forced to do it yourself?

Thanks. Standard set of tools. Jack, jackstands , breaker bar, socket set, star socket set.
